Rotate PDF

Rotate all pages of a PDF file

Processed in your browser — 100% private

Scanners and mobile apps often capture PDFs sideways or upside down. Rotating them permanently — rather than relying on a temporary viewer rotation — makes the document look right everywhere it's opened, including printers, tablets and third-party viewers. Our rotate tool applies the rotation to the underlying PDF structure in your browser, without re-rendering pages or losing quality.

How to rotate a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF into the window.
  2. Choose the rotation angle (90°, 180° or 270°).
  3. Click "Rotate PDF" and download the corrected file.

Supported formats

Input: any standard PDF. Output: PDF with rotation baked into page metadata.

Rotate PDF — Frequently asked questions

Does rotation change file size?
No — rotation updates a single metadata field per page. The underlying content is untouched, so file size stays identical.
Can I rotate individual pages separately?
Currently the tool rotates all pages together. For per-page rotation, split the PDF first and re-merge after rotating each part.
Will the rotation persist in all PDF viewers?
Yes — the rotation is written to the PDF standard's page rotation field, which every compliant viewer respects.
Does my PDF leave the browser?
No. Rotation happens entirely locally via pdf-lib. No upload, no server processing.
